What was the problem in the book, and how was it solved? Be specific.

Auggie had a birth defect when he was born.  In the book he had many surgeries to help the defect

but at the end of the book he still has the defect but the surgeries made the defect look a lot better.

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know.

This book is to entertain. I know this because there are not real facts and also because this is not  a real story it is made up.

did the title have to do with the book?

The title had to do with this book because the title helps the reader may be left wondering and also

because the book about a kid who is wonder.

Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific.

1 setting of this book was at school.  I think this would make it more interesting because all of the

kids staring at him and not wanting to set by him at the lunch table.  Also I think this because all

the kids would not want to participate with him in class.

Auggie, during the surgeries did you ever feel that you wouldn't make it?

Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what

you would say.

It is a very interesting book about a kid who is born with a defect and has many surgeries to make

the defect look better.  Auggie’s Mom and Dad were arguing if Auggie should go to school. Auggie

does end up going to school at Bleacher Prep middle school.  The book travels alongside Auggie

has he is trying to live a normal life like a normal kid.

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain

the scene with details and why it's important.

I think they should put in the scene where Auggie and his Mom are touring the school where

Auggie goes to school.  The scene take place in Mr. Tushman office and the hallways of the school.

The scene is important because if they did not like the  school Auggie would not of went to school

there and either went to a different or get homeschooled.
