What was the problem in the book, and how was it solved? Be specific. The problem in the story

is that the Nazi soldiers invade Denmark. The solution is that a group of young kids try to steal the

guns, and ammo from german troops.

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know. The author's

purpose is to inform us about the kids who tried to fight Hitler by taking the german troops guns

and ammo.

What did the title have to do with the book?The title helps the reader understand what the book is

about.

Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific. The setting

helps the story be more interesting because it puts the problem in a big city in Denmark.

If one of the characters visited our classroom, what question would you ask them? (Make sure the

question relates to the plot/problem/actions of the story.) *Give the name of the character with the

question!!*The question I would ask Kund Pedersen is what was your mind saying when you tried to

steal Hitler's guns and ammo.

Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what you

would say. I would ask the kid if they like books about the Holocaust.  If they do I would start telling

them what the book is about.  The let them skim through the book to see if they would want to read

the book.  The I would tell them to check it out for a week or so.

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the

scene with details and why it's important. The scene I think would go good in the movie would be

the part were Germany invaded Denmark because if the movie did not include that part everyone

who would watch the movie would be confused on why all the kids who took the guns of Hitler were

from Denmark.
