Noah Millan's Book Report on "Wonder"

What was the problem in the book, and how was it solved? Be specific.

The problem in the story is that aguie can't see himself as cool or handsome because he was

born with a defect in his face that he does not look like a normal person.  He all so is getting

over his fear of going to a actual school he does get a little bit of bullying but the bully gets

what he deserves. A lot of his strength came from his friends supporting him,which helps

him get over getting bullied and going to a real school not at home.    

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know.

The purposes of the book is to inform and entertain. The reason why it is to inform is that it

shows that even if your not normal or cool you can still be kind and beautiful. The reason

why it is entertaining is how it show that this little boy goes through a such a young age it is

really empowering.   

What did the title have to do with the book?

The title Wonder had to do with the child Aguie and his deformation as a baby. In the book

it said that when he was born the doctor past out the story made him laugh because the

nurse kept farting really loud and they were stinky. So the title tells that Aguie is a very

special boy.

Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific.

The setting is all over the place, but the detail in the book of the setting makes you feel like

your there with them at all times. It gives a nice touch to know all their feelings.

I would ask Aguie how could you not hit the bulley I understand that he showed his

emotions  quite often. He did say he wanted to leave school but his parents said no but if he

had a choice would he have left and if he could get rid of his defect in his face would he.

Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what you would say.

If i was a librarian I would say this is a good book but if you easily crie i would not read this

book. The book follows the life of Aguie cloemen but,he has a birth defect in his face that he

does not look normal. The book is good other than about the crying thing. I would highly

recommend this book it shows that you do not have it that bad. This is what i would say if i

were a librarian.  

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the

scene with details and why it's important.

They did make a movie and the most important part I thinks when they get in a fight in the

woods and they really except him in.
