Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what you
would say.
This book is called Crenshaw. Crenshaw is a imaginary cat that Jackson made up when he was little
and going through hard times. Crenshaw came back because Jackson was stressed and needed a
friend. Crenshaw helped him with the rights and wrongs throughout this book. In the end Jackson
had to face the facts and move out and tell his friend the truth. The end is a cliffhanger and we don’t
know what happens to Crenshaw and Jackson has not told the truth to his friends.
If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the
scene with details and why it's important.
Crenshaw sits and talks with Jackson at times to calm him down and tells him what to do. At the end
of the book Crenshaw talks with Jackson about telling the truth to his friends . Jackson never tells
his friends the truth and that leaves the book at a cliffhanger. It is important because readers want to
know if Jackson told his friends the truth or if he was going to continue being a liar. Readers might
see Jackson as a person that lies and they might come to hate him. But readers might be excited
because their could always be a sequel and Crenshaw might come back!
