What was the problem in the book, and how was it solved? Be specific.
In this book The Spirit Warrior, Sakura is trying to bring Mack to her side so he will help her lead
her alliance against the Changer Nation. The Hidden World of Changers are a group of people with
special ancient powers and special abilities. They have the ability to take on a different form, like an
animal, when they are battling. They have an enemy, Sakura Hiyamoto< who has a memory-eating
ability. She attacked Mack and now The Changers are trying to figure out if she altered Mack’s
memories or if he is secretly under her control. Gabriella needs to master her ability to spirit-walk
in a person’s mind so she can help Mack. Gabriella does spirit-walk in Mack’s mind and tries to
save him before Sakura takes control of him.
What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know.
In each book the author tries to tell more about each character. The purpose of this book is to tell
how important it is for Gabriella to learn to master her ability of spirit-walking in someone’s mind.
She had to learn how to do it to possibly save Mack.
What did the title have to do with the book?
The title of the book The Spirit Warrior has to do with the character Gabriella. She has to learn
her ability to spirit-walk and enter Mack’s mind to help him fight off Sakura.
Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific.
The setting made it more interesting because I was able to picture what it looked like and how it
affected the characters . I could picture Fiona at the ocean and using her ability to cause a tide. I
was able to picture Fiona’s neighborhood with the homes and streets during the final battle.

If Mack visited the classroom I would ask, “While the Shadow Kitsune was trying to take control

If you like reading books about adventures and having special powers, then you would enjoy this
book. Changers are people with ancient powers that have special abilities like taking on a different
form when they are in battle. In this book, The Spirit Warrior, it focuses on the character Gabriella.
Gabriella takes the form of a black jaguar. She also has the ability to spirit-walk in someone’s mind.
She’s trying to save her friend and stop the villain, Sakura, from taking over The Changer Nation.
Sakura needs to control Mack so he will help lead the Changer Nation when she over throws it.
If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the scene with details and why it's important. The final battle at the end of this book is important. All
the characters, using their own special abilities, are battling Sakura and and her followers. Gabrialla
is trying to spirit-walk in Mack’s mind to keep Sakura from taking him over. Darren puts a force
field around Mack and Gabriella to try to give Gabriella more time to save Mack. Sakura, using her
dark magic, creates a dark portal to leave with Mack.
I like how Garrett explained and went into great detail about everything. Everything about what you put makes it a great book report and Garrett did a great overall job.
