Alexis Wendel's Book Report on "Me Always"

Name: Alexis Wendel 6M

Title of Book: Remember Me Always

Author: Renee Collins

What was the problem in the book, and how was it solved? Be specific.
The problem in the book, Remember Me Always, is that Shelby, the main character, is in a
devastating car crash.  When she was in the car crash she ended up getting hurt so bad that it
makes her lose almost all of her memory. The part of her head or body that got injured is
unknown information.  After all of information was gathered on the car crash that the doctors
knew she started physical therapy. Once she started her therapy it was supposed to
completely erase all of her memory and have her start all over.  Instead, that started to bring
back all of her memories that she had in the past.

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know
The author's purpose on writing this book was to entertain.  When the author was writing this
book he made it to have fun reading.  He didn’t make it to inform anyone on anything. He also didn’t
make it persuade anyone into buying something or doing something.  So, the author’s purpose was
to entertain.

What did the title have to do with the book?
The title of my book, Remember Me Always, had to do with the setting of my book because
the boy that Shelby is hanging out with wants her to remember him always.  Also, since she is
losing her memory she is losing everything she did in the past with him.

Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific.
The setting of my story made the book more interesting because it was much easier to
understand and I could relate to.  Also, it made it seem like this actually happened in the past, but it
never really did since the book is fiction.

If one of the characters visited our classroom, what question would you ask them? (Make sure the
question relates to the plot/problem/actions of the story.) *Give the name of the character with the
question!!*
If the main character came in our classroom, Shelby, I would ask her how she got in the car
crash and how it happened.  Also, I would ask her how she got so big into acting and why she loves it
so much.

Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what
you would say.
If I was a librarian who was recommending this book to someone my summary of the book would
be that this book is kind of a teenage love story.  But, it also is some kind of a medical procedure that
we will need answer to. In the book, Shelby, the main character, is in a devastating car crash that made her lose most of her memories.  And because of the crash she is now in therapy and trying to
get the rest of her memory erased. But, does everything go well? Also, Shelby loves to act and be a
actor, but her mom doesn’t feel the same way.  Finally, I would definitely recommend that to some
girl that loves to read the drama books or the medical books.

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the
scene with details and why it's important.
If a movie was made on the book “Remember Me Always,” the most important part to include
in the movie would be in the beginning of the book when she is in the car crash.  When I was
reading the book the information was unknown about what how bad the crash was or how it
happened. I feel that it would be much easier to understand the movie and grab more
people’s attention.
