had to take out other places Hitler had under control.

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know. The author
wrote this book to Inform. I know because, there is a lot of historical events and actions, in this book.

What did the title have to do with the book?  The title of the book is Sabotage, The main point in the
book was to sabotage Hitler’s atomic bomb, so since the title is sabotage they relate by having the
same meaning.

Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific. The setting
starts on a german ship, the story is all based around the Holocaust, this intensified the story
because, it made the begging scene a lot more interesting.

If one of the characters visited our classroom, what question would you ask them? (Make sure the
question relates to the plot/problem/actions of the story.) *Give the name of the character with the
question!!* I would ask Tronstad. I would ask, What was it like planning for operation Sabotage?

Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what you
would say. This book is an amazing book. It is action packed. A lot of historical events. Also, a spy
thriller. Finally, there is a lot of emotion and a lot of suspense between chapters.

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the
scene with details and why it's important. I think the most important part would be when theyƕe
planning for operation Sabotage. I think this because, they discuss very deeply on how they will
approach the operation. Also, they have to plan to get the equipment. Finally, where they decide to
start the operation at.

Scott was not good at football and Chris was not good at schoolwork. Scott was very smart.
Classmates called him the brain. Chris was dyslexic. He was the quarterback on the football team.
Scott helped Chris by studying with him and Chris helped Scott by practicing with him.

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know.

The purpose was to show you shouldn’t give up and anything is possible. The author added some real
life examples of NFL players and games as examples.

What did the title have to do with the book?

Chris came back from failing classes due to dyslexia to getting B grades. Scott came back from sitting
on the bench every game to kicking the field goal to win the game.

Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific.

The setting is Scott’s House, the football field and school.
This makes it interesting to a sixth grade boy who likes sports. These are the main places kids spend
their time.

If one of the characters visited our classroom, what question would you ask them? (Make sure the
question relates to the plot/problem/actions of the story.) *Give the name of the character with the
question!!*
“Chris did any other classmates know you were unable to read?”

Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what you
would say.

I would recommend this book to you since you like football. The book refers to some real life
examples of teams, players and games. The book is about a 6th grade boy and some problems they
can have. It would be a good book for sixth grade boys who like sports. If you have some school
trouble it shows you can work hard to fix them.

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the
scene with details and why it's important.

Scott was alone in the field behind his house. He practices so much that he was able to make over 7
kicks straight and no one saw it but him. This is important because it shows how practice can work.

story is Suzy gets help from a doctor.

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know.
I think the author's purpose is to entertain.  The characters in this book are fictional. The jellyfish
experts are real.

What did the title have to do with the book?
Suzy tried to travel to Australia to find jellyfish experts but her trip fails.  Suzy knows a lot About
jellyfish.

Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific.

The setting in this story I think is interesting.  Where she almost travels to Australia to find experts
on jellyfish.  Suzy tries to figure out if Franny got stung by a Irukandji.

If one of the characters visited our classroom, what question would you ask them? (Make sure the
question relates to the plot/problem/actions of the story.) *Give the name of the character with the
question!!*  If the main character, “Suzy” visited the classroom I would ask her “If you found out that
Franny got stung by a Irukandji, what would you do about it.”

Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what you
would say. If I would to recommend to someone I would tell them this is a really good book to read.
It’s about a girl who wants to find out if Franny her best friend got stung by a Irukandji. She later
on travels to Australia to find jellyfish experts. Her trip fails and she goes to a doctor named Dr. legs
to solve her mental problems.  After Franny died Suzy started to not talk and not be happy anymore.
She started to change.

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the
scene with details and why it's important.  If this book was made out of a movie the scene I would
choose when she goes to Australia. When Suzy arrives at the airport counter, a woman with long
blond hair, and her eyes looked like they were set ever so slightly too far apart.  She typed away on her keyboard, red nails tap-tapping in rapid fire. The women opened my passport, flipped through
the empty pages. Then she frowned. “Wait” she said. “What's your date of birth?” When I told her,
she looked at me strangely.  “ Well that doesn't…” she started, before her voice drifted off. She
tapped a few more keys, then frowned. “And it looks like you haven't applied for a visa.” After that
Suzy started to tear up in the corner in the airport. Then Suzy sees her mom and her mom takes her
back home.

Sydney Smith's Book Report on "Invisible Emmie"

Name: Sydney Smith

Title of Book: Invisible Emmie

Author: Terri Libenson

What was the problem in the book, and how was it solved? Be specific. The problem of the story is
that Emmie and her friend were writing love notes to their crushes at lunch. When the bell
rang they both ran out. Emmie’s love note fell out of her binder and Joe picked it up and
read it. He started reading the story to everyone. When Emmie found this out she was super
upset. Then it got worse, after almost everyone knew about the note, Emmie’s friend
Brianna found out and had to talk to Emmie. Brianna was super upset because she thought
that hers fell out too. So then Brianna was mad at Emmie. How all this was solved was
Emmie’s crush, Tyler Ross, saw her in the hall and Joe said something mean. So then Tyler
and Emmie at the same time said shut up to Joe and then they both started laughing. Next,
they both went to art together. In Art Emmie meet a new friend and she said, " Oh are you
the note girl?" And Emmie said yes and she said that the whole thing was stupid everyone
knew the note was written just to be funny. Emmie asked if that was what everyone
thought? She agreed. And that was how the problem in  was solved.

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know. The
author’s purpose was to entertain. Her purpose was also to help middle school kids know
what school might be like and how to help you through the tough times in middle school.
How I know this is because the author said that some of the stuff in the book that happened
to Emmie happened to her in middle school.

What did the title have to do with the book?
The title is called Invisible Emmie because the main character feels like she is invisible
because she is so shy and does not really talk at all.

Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific. Pretty
much the whole setting is at Emmie’s middle school. It was cool because from the
illustrations it looked like a really old run down middle school. And when she was walking
through the halls there were a lot of other people in the halls as well just like in a real middle
school.

If one of the characters visited our classroom, what question would you ask them? (Make sure the
question relates to the plot/problem/actions of the story.) *Give the name of the character with the
question!!*
The character I would want to ask a question to would have to be Brianna. I would ask her,
“How mad were you when you thought Emmie lost your note?”

Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what you
would say. Hi, we just got a new book in the library today and it is called Invisible Emmie. It
is about a girl in middle school who is really shy and has a crush on a guy. One day she and
her friend were writing love notes to their crushes and Emmie’s note fell out. The whole rest
of the story is her is trying to not get embarrassed. I would recommend this book to all girls
in middle school because these kinds of things happen to middle school aged girls all the
time. So if you want to try it out it is over there on the shelf that says new books.

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include? Explain the
scene with details and why it's important. The scene they would have to put in the movie is
when the girls are in the lunchroom writing love notes to their crushes. There were 2 girls
Emmie and Brianna. They went to the lunchroom one day and got bored after eating their
lunch. So Brianna said, “Why don't we write love notes to our crushes?” It’s important
because this is the very beginning of the book and it’s sets the stage for the whole story.

Mason Sheeley's Book Report on "Projekt 1065"

Name: Mason Sheeley

Title of Book: Projekt 1065

Author: Gratz, Alan

What was the problem in the book, and how was it solved? Be specific. Michael, the main character is a
spy for the allies, his father is the Irish Ambassador for Germany, and he sends important Nazi information
back to Ireland(which is unofficially part of the war effort). Michael becomes “friends” with a boy who needs
Michael just as much as Michael needs him. Fritz, the boy, has a father who is a lead engineer in Projekt 1065,
a plane that might win Hitler the war. Michael gets so close to having all the info, when Fritz is leaving to
assassinate a scientist that could make an atomic bomb. Michael turns his parents in for harboring a spy, and
Michael gets put on the special team with Fritz, and travels with them.  He then destroys the attempt and kills
Fritz, he then goes to the Irish embassy in Switzerland (a neutral country) and reunites with his parents, who
then travel to England to speak about Projekt 1065, and Michael then goes home.

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know.
Entertain, in the “Author's Notes” section, Gratz wrote the characters and plot are fake,
but the actual Projekt 1065 was real.

What did the title have to do with the book? Projekt 1065 was a top secret Nazi plan to make a plane
with no propeller and a jet engine, if deployed, Hitler would have conquered England, and maybe
won the war.

Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific.
Anything in Nazi Germany (1932-1945) is interesting, it just goes to show the demonic activities that
went on during Adolf Hitler’s regime as chancellor.

If one of the characters visited our classroom, what question would you ask them? (Make sure the
question relates to the plot/problem/actions of the story.) *Give the name of the character with the
question!!* If Fritz visited our classroom in his SRD Uniform, I would ask him why he believes in
Nazism
Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what you
would say.  This book is a must-read, it shows one boys determination to defeat the demon, and his
struggle to get a game-changer to be destroyed.  I thought that he wouldn’t have to kill anyone, but
he ended up ending one boy’s life.

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the
scene with details and why it's important. It would be important to include the Cable Car scene when
Fritz battles to the death, and falls off.  It shows that when you fall, you lose, like Nazi Germany, the
government fell, and lost. This scene would be important to add because it would represent the fall
of the Third Reich.

What did the title have to do with the book? The forgetting has to do with things that are in the air
are making people forget.

Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what you
would say. This is a really good story about about someone who did remember the forgetting and
they found a way not to forget they killed things and went through secret passages and she also in the
begging had met a young boy and they took lots of journeys.

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the

Mayson Annis' Book Report on "Assassins Creed: Last Descendants"

Name: Mayson Annis

Title of Book: Assassins Creed Last Descendants

Author:  Matthew J. Kirby

What was the problem in the book, and how was it solved? Be specific. The problem in the book is
that there is a war going on between two rival factions, the Templars and the Assassins.  This war
has been going on for centuries. Now the two factions are fighting over a dagger that holds mystical
power. The conflict is not solved in the first book, the conflict carries over to the second book.

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing the book? Explain how you know.
The author's purpose was to entertain, I know this because the book is fictional and doesn't really
have many factual pieces to the book.

What did the title have to do with the book?  The title relates to the story because the kids that are
chosen to help a man who is involved with the war between the Templars and Assassins.

Tell in your own words how the setting of the story made it more interesting. Be specific.
There are multiple settings to the story.  The main setting of the story takes place at the New York
draft riots.  Having the setting set during this event really sets the tone of how chaotic the story really
gets toward the end of the story.

If one of the characters visited our classroom, what question would you ask them? (Make sure the
question relates to the plot/problem/actions of the story.) *Give the name of the character with the question!!*
If I could have one of the characters visit my classroom, my character would be Varius.  I would ask
him what it is like being an Assassin and what it’s like fighting the Templars.

Pretend you are a librarian recommending the book to someone. Write a paragraph telling what you
would say.  I would recommend this book to someone because it is a very exhilarating book.  When I
read this book I just could not get enough of this book. The story is very interesting.  The setting of
the story makes the book even better. If you enjoy fictional books, the Assassins Creed video game
series this book is definitely for you.

If they made a movie of this book, which scene would be most important to include. Explain the
scene with details and why it's important.  If they were to make a movie of this book I think the most
important scene that they would have to put in would be when  Simon finds Owen and Javier and
asks them to help him stop the Templars.
